Over the past 40 years, Mary Ellen Mark has been a staple in the world of photography. She has achieved worldwide recognition for her extensive contributions for her work in photojournalism, street photography, and celebrity photography along with her special interest projects with circuses from around the world.
She has published 16 books and her film Streetwise received an Oscar nomination. She continues to be an active contributing photographer for such publications as Life, Vanity Fair, New York Times Magazine and Rollingstone.
This presentation is a collection of some of her most recognized images and the purpose of this piece is for education purposes only and it not intended for redistribution or profit.
