i now own a hq neo 2 14m , i got it as a light wind kite for water but it deffinately is not , it is a grunty kite even for me at 105kg`s , there is plenty of power on the initial dive but next to none on the upstroke if you have to work the kite , i dont know if it is just me but i owned a 10m airush crest which seemed to have alot more on the upstroke but this may be a foil thing and it may be that i only used the crest on snow , i will perservere with it and let you know how i go .

@PALEGRE3N - do you kite? If you do - will look out for you. We go to Purakanui occasionally. Great beach!

Yep I know what you mean about the upstroke - I have found the same issue with my 11m Neo but the 6m is different. I have had more success with that on the water and land and really like it .

I just uploaded a video with some jumps with the 11 meter. I've been riding it with the buggy and the landboard. I agree, it is a great kite, especially because of its stability. It's not bad for kite surfing either if you get the 11 meter (you need at least 17 knots to get going).

Thanks for the heads up on your video - hard to find much new about the Neo. I have an 11m as well and yes you a right - needs a bit of wind to get it going in the water.
The 6 is quite a grunty small kite - fly it fast and it has lots of lift - and I love the way it stays in shape compared to an open cell.
