'King Of Roy' Skateboarding Festival went off the weekend of 9th and 10th of April, at Kingaroy Skatepark in Southern Rural Queensland. Their local Skateboarding culture is still in its infancy, which is why the competition and clinic combo focused on all skaters getting involved, regardless of skill level. SbA and South Burnett PCYC have been working hard to create a sustainable skateboarding community: South Burnett Skateboarding. Local coaches have become ASC recognised Level 1 Skateboard Coaches in order to run regular clinics into the future. As for the King Of Roy event, Queensland's Department of Communities, Mountain Dew, Independent, Santa Cruz, and Zoo York all showed love by sponsoring the event, which means their down for Skateboarding in the Sticks.
