The women also do hard labor for the construction industry. In Bandipur, the roads are too small to allow for modern equipment to be able to haul materials back and forth. Unlike the United States, many women in Nepal also do hard labor in order to get construction projects completed. In this clip are a few women carrying slate tiles in traditional woven baskets that rest on their backs while a cloth strap wraps around their heads to absorb the weight. They must trek up and down the hills of Bandipur in order to transport the materials from one location to another.
