From Mexico between 1937 and his assassination in 1940
"Stalin's trial against me is built upon false confessions, extorted by modern Inquisitorial methods, in the interests of the ruling clique. There are no crimes in history more terrible in intention or execution than the Moscow trials of Zinoviev-Kamenev and of Radek-Piatakov. These trials develop not from communism, not from socialism, but from Stalinism, that is, from the irresponsible despotism of the bureaucracy over the people!

"What is now my principal task? To reveal the truth. To show and to demonstrate that the true criminals hide under the cloak of the accusers. What will be the next step in this direction? The creation of an American, a European and subsequently, an international commission of inquiry, composed of people who incontestably enjoy authority and public confidence. I will undertake to present to such a commission all my files, thousands of personal and open letters in which the development of my thought and my action is reflected day by day, without any gaps. I have nothing to hide! Dozens of witnesses who are abroad possess invaluable facts and documents which will shed light on the Moscow frame-ups. The work of the commission of inquiry must terminate in a great countertrial. A countertrial is necessary to cleanse the atmosphere of the germs of deceit, slander, falsification and frame-ups, whose source is Stalin's police, the GPU, which has fallen to the level of the Nazi Gestapo."

For more on the Moscow Trials here is a great book by Trotsky's son Lev (Leon) Sedov: http://www.marxists.org/history/etol/writers/sedov/works/red/index.htm

  • Dear Leon Trotsky. I really wish someone like him would be alive today. Two great leaders like Lenin & Trotsky, to lead the revolution

  • @Haniiinho Then strive to do what they did right, and to avoid what they did wrong. We must build a new revolutionary leadership.

  • @chrisolaf530 It was Stalin that did wrong.

  • @wesleysonic

I know that Stalin was wrong...and I'm a Trotskyist. Lenin of Trotsky also made mistakes, the difference was that they were willing to admit them and learn from them. Stalin would sooner charge you with conspiracy against the revolution than admit he was wrong.

  • @Haniiinho What part did u like? When they murdered all the Christians? Slaughtered the Czar and his family? What exactly exites u?

  • he was a spy and traitor

  • LOL HE LOOKS LIKE THE KFC GUY!!!

  • Even though he's speaking in his second language his speech is still powerful, it's no wonder he was so popular amongst the Soviet People

  • Even Stalin's own psychiatrist admitted that he was a paranoid schizophrenic. But there was nothing he could do about it.

  • @chrisolaf530 then fuck eachother's assholes.

  • @Haniiinho It was Stalin that turned the Soviet Union into a superpower to serve as a counter balance to the imperialist policies of the U.S. Trotsky didn't have it in him and Lenin spoke of this. He was overly idealistic which is not enough to to lead a superpower. Anyways, Lenin was just as ruthless as Stalin and Trotsky was his disciple, they were all brutal but Stalin used his brutality to empower Russia and it worked.

  • hero world socialism now !

  • bunch of jew tools
