My youngest son and I rode the HVRM excursion between North Judson, Indiana and La Crosse, Indiana in the summer of 2007. This is a video of our ride.

FYI, the current route of Amtrak's Kentucky Cardinal is misquoted. It takes too long to fix for this video. I have plans to remake this in the Summer of 2008, so sit tight and I will have a better video out to talk about the HVRM.

  • I was at the RR museum in April '07.

They have a heck of a big steam engine!

By the way, I actually have family in N. Judson. :)

    Thanks for the video! :)

    Regards from Sweden.

  • Nice !!!

Thanks for visiting. When I get some time, I will produce a much better video about the museum.

  • I'll be there on Saturday riding behind good ol' NKP #765!!!!

  • Yeah, that was pretty neat. When I get a chance, I will post some 765 video in both N. Judson and in LaCrosse.

  • Very nice video. Thanks for showing it. My wife and I took this ride. It was great. We got a kick out of the old suit cases they had on the baggage freight wagon outside the depot. That was neat. Everyone was so nice and we had so much fun. Were going to bring our grandkids to see it this summer. Ken from Rossville, IN.

  • The folks at the museum are really nice. The depot and supporting structures are some of the cleanest and nicest I have seen at a museum.

  • Very cool. My wife and I are planning on taking our first train ride there in a few weeks.

  • Maybe they can one day extend the excursion beyond Lacrosse.

  • The town did get their grant for the new library. It will be built to represent a C&O style depot. They recently broke ground on this project. They are hoping it will be done for next years operating season.

  • I love that museum. One of the best things to happen to North Judson.
