The Court's decision will never have the impacts that Scalia claims. Freedom and security can be reconciled within the framework of the rule of law and constitution. We have many bad people in jail, all of whom had lawyers and access to writs of habeas corpus. Scalia and others are just "cut and running" on basic civil rights!

Somehow, governments embracing the Magna Carta, written in 1215, have survived. We survived WW2, and other significant wars, without having to resort to this.
The elephant in the room is if we put these people on trial we'll find out a lot of them were taxi drivers etc turned in for ransom money who are completely innocent. That's why the righties are acting this way.
Put them on trial! Let the rule of law decide. America is a Nation built on law, and I'd like to keep it that way.
