You can get any parts you need through the Appliantology Parts Finder box at the top of the page at the Appliantology website. All parts come with a one year, no-hassle return policy, even on electrical parts that have been installed. It's insane!

Ah, a damaged belt is always an obvious reason to go ahead and replace the belt! I was assuming from your original comments that the belt was fine since you did not mention any visible damage. Definitely try the simplets solution first and replace the damaged belt!

the pulley was tight but i examined the belt closer and found that the rubber layer and the side that remains up were separated in a small area so i am hoping that is it : what do you think?

It's possible the pulley mounting bolt is loose. Grab the drum pulley and try to move it; If it wiggles, then try tightening the pulley mounting bolt.

A belt that keeps coming off the drum pulley in a front load washer is almost always a sign of bad drum bearings. I have another video here at my channel that shows an easy way to test the drum bearings. Look for the video titled, "Secret Samurai Technique For Checking The Drum Bearings In A Front Load Washer." If the drum bearings are bad and the machine is not under warranty or you're not going to do the repair yourself, then junk it and buy a new one.
