Darn it, this thing is just too crumby after uploading. It looks better on my PC. But this at least gives you some sense of the size of the Giant Sequoias in California.

  • Beautiful!! I've only been there is summer/fall.Was it scary driving into the park? Thanks for sharing that!

  • Scary? No! But the park rangers won't let you past a certain point without tire chains. There are a couple of local spots that rent them out for $35. Then we just drove up in 2nd gear and found ourselves constantly amazed for the entire 90 minute drive up to the Lodge where we stayed. The lodge accommodations are cheaper, but unless you want to ski or hike with snowshoes, there's not much to do. Still worth a visit.

  • is this a joke? drinking blood?

  • I know what you mean about crumbly, I have the same problem. A nice drive in the snow, there.

  • Wow. They're so big. I took a break from drinking people's blood and visited CA a few years ago where I got to see some redwoods up close.

Most impressive! This reminded me of the trip!

  • We drive in via the 198 from the south, with all those hairpin turns. I can't imagine driving it in the snow-even with chains. I guess I'm just not used to driving snowy roads. I'd still love to visit Sequoia in winter, now that I've seen your video! Thanks!
