Kiel in Northern Germany is home of 2 diesel locomotive companies: Vossloh (formerly MaK) and Voith.
This video takes a look at them. You can see the Voith Maxima 40 CC, which is the most powerful 6-axle-diesel hydraulic locomotive with one engine.

  • Great footage. I love those cars at the end. They are named Thunder Boxes, aren't they? (can't remenber their name in "deutch" ) :s

  • @templedread

  • Sehr interssant.

  • Is Kiel overrun with muslims like the rest of Germany?

  • sheldon from the big bang theory made this

  • Interesting! I was in Kiel a few years ago, but did not know of Vossloh and Voith.

  • Just checked the factories on Google Earth! Awesome!! Subbed.

  • Thanks a lot It was very interesting

  • That was outstanding. Thanks.

  • @NThusiast Right! That's it! Danke Schön! I have some models 1:.87 of those cars. It was that because of the noise and rumbling that they made.
