Joe Lieberman on Face the Nation June 29, 2008 Part 1

Part one of Traitor Joe on Face the Nation this week. What's amazing to me is that the party of the "My Pet Goat" President that Lieberman has apparently joined, the leader of which sat there and read a children's book for ten minutes with a glazed over look in his eyes during the attacks of 9-11 and then attacked a country that had nothing to do with 9-11 would have the nerve to talk about whether anyone else might be ready on "day one" if the country were attacked by terrorists. Could we have had any worse than what we already got with Bush? Somehow I doubt it.

Droopy Dog Lieberman has never been a real Democrat. He got into the Senate in 1988, running against Connecticut's liberal Republican Senator Lowell Weicker. William F. Buckley and the right-wing Republicans in CT all backed Lieberman. They hated Weicker going back to the Watergate hearings, when he was one of the few Republicans to speak out against Nixon's crimes. Lieberman ran against Weicker from the right, even red-baiting him because Weicker favored diplomatic relations with Cuba.

Joe "Droopy Dog" Lieberman is a sad excuse for a human being. He's a traitor to his party and his country. I'm ashamed that I ever thought he would make a decent vice-president. He was never fit to run with Al Gore, and is probably the main reason why the election was so close in '00. Gore should have chosen a running mate with some scruples, integrity, and just a minuscule amount of charisma... if he had, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now.
