  • The guitar parts were totally fucked up. Sure he played well but he played cliches instead of sticking to the original. This is one of those classics which must be played as they were originally recorded. Imagine Comfortably numb (Pink Floyd) played according to the guitarist's whim it wouldn't do.

  • i wish i could have seen this live DX

  • This song makes me think of John the Baptist.

  • Dave Lindley again plays some great riffs from "The Excitable Boy" album. This is a great song that many have not heard unless they are Zevonites. Heard this in Chicago in 1976. Warren was playing at "The Park West". He was awesome.

  • @du11GGo Thank goodness for YouTube. Incredible.

  • Warren Zevon was the class that L.A. utterly lacked otherwise in '78. Sadly for most of the US his giant absence is still unregarded. I never met you but rest easy my friend. When my ride is here I hope it's to where you are.....

  • What an awesome video. I don't recognize any of the men in this band though, first time I've seen this lineup. Sort of ironic as Zevon's studio work came with all these huge, big name stars sitting in.
