Porsche Cayman S Sport: Bedford Autodrome GT circuit

Taking Simon's Cayman out to stretch its legs!

Conditions weren't ideal. The temperature was around 34 degrees in the shade and we were constantly teetering on the brink of being black flagged for the car's noisy (but standard) exhaust. You'll see in the movie at 13s, 1:45s, 2:12s and again at 3:17s where I'm having to short shift and crawl past the noise meters. Apparently all this hassle is caused by just one serial complainer who lives over a mile away in Thurleigh village. Given that the Autodrome used to be an airfield, he ought to count his blessings.

Nevertheless we had a lot of fun and nothing came past us all day. The Cayman is brilliant. Supreme balance for a mid-engined car and with a beautiful consistency of control weighting. Good to measure the Sport's performance against that of the stock silver Cayman S in the movie. He wasn't keen on letting us by. ;)

Are you a tall guy? Your left leg covers half the center console and you have to move your leg every time you shift.
