I have to agree, any doctor who dicks out on someone like that about an eating disorder needs to re-learn bedside manners, for a start. Especially with eating disorders, it's hugely important. It's bad enough having an ED, having a doctor act like such an ass makes it so much worse- I've had doctors act like that. It makes you feel even more worthless than you already feel.

@MsPelicanus Medical professionals are under confidentiality oaths except with special circumstances and this was not one. It was actually illegal to divulge that information without her permission.

@QueenB2586 That is true, but I think you can be straight with someone and still do it with a certain level of politeness. While it was necessary for him to be straight with her, I think he went about it in a very rude way, which was unacceptable (in my opinion).

I know exactly what she's feeling the entire fight

0:11 upset with her husband, afraid to let too much show

0:30 the very topic of food makes her scared that he might know

0:50 snapping at the cat because she is now angry AND afraid

1:17 glad to switch topics away from food

1:48 like a total failure, one of her first thoughts after that was probably "And I'm fat, too."

2:45 panic, suspicion, shame, horror

3:23 relief that she wasn't rejected.

Meredith Baxter is such a good actress.
