okay thanks, I got the m15x with the 5850 in the end and I was pretty impressed, I can max out Crysis with 1080p with a minimum of like 16-20 fps.

I've got the same laptop and am now considering overclocking my video card. Did you use any cooling mods and notice a significant increase in GPU temp?

No cooling mods. Temperature goes up as high as 105 Celsius. It starts slowing down pretty bad after around 100 C. Try to play in a well-ventilated and cool area when you overclock.
