i have the original version and i have found every item. the penny was extremely hard to find. once you have uncovered the penny it is easier to find again and again.

omg! i've seriously had that game for 2 years and still can't find the penny or candy cane!

I found it a few days after we bought it. It's not that difficult--it just takes a lot of time shaking it up and twisting it around. Don't give up and open it up! It takes away all the fun! Take your time and look for it--the excitement when you find it makes it worth it!

I found the penny without opening it took me about and hour but it was worthit. I kept rotating it in a spiraling motion and it lifted the penny to the top. (The penny is usually in the middle making it hardest to find)
