  • @b0nd33 Don't worry, Hargiwald is only joking:-)

  • @holitipu I think (s)he means that Bruce manages to produce such great live versions of his songs that they "ruin" the original album version.

  • A definitive Blue-Eyed Soul power ballad - one of the mightiest songs from The River and an absolutely brilliant concert performance. For those with long memories, "Fade Away" is surely an hommage to Felix Cavaliere/Eddie Brigati and the Rascals, with Danny spinning out a spare, pretty B3 solo. Lovely 12-string work and high harmony from Stephen.

  • @holitipu Don't worry, I think I must have watched this video a dozen times by now. I was just joking, and the joke was that this live version is so good that it makes the album version feel a bit flat. I guess I wasn't being very clear, though I did think that the last sentence - "I just wish this was available in better quality" - would have made it clear that I liked the performance very much. Peace.

  • @Hargiwald What do you mean ruin !!! Most of us love the fact that live he never does a concert or a song to order. His albums are the result of his perfectionism but the live performances allow his to musical soul to shine through, and we love it, night after night !!!

  • Time after time Springsteen finds new ways to ruin album versions of his best songs. I just wished this was available in better quality.

  • Was there anyone better in the 80's? No - I don't think so!! Love Bruce. Saw him on tour only once but a fan for life!
