My dear Dad was an engineer for the SOO LINE. He worked 30 years for the Soo. Mostly out of Enderlin, North Dakota

so where was it in chicago ???? a lot of the old soo stuff from the soo line buiding was tossed nice to see it saved nice video

@1xsooliner It was at Roosevelt and Canal. There's a gigantic shopping center there now, with a Dominick's, Walgreen's, FedEx Office, Subway and several other stores. I wonder what they did with that red neon sign that I used to be able to see from the Lake-Dan Ryan el. They took it down in the mid-70's, but the slanted framework stayed on the building till it was torn down in the late 90's.

Yes, that's the great thing about the Illinois Railway Museum. They rescue and display so many fragments of Chicago's railroading history.
