Hoges, you’re a legend. Don..... Changed Australian TV, for the better, Thank you for all the great memories. Today’s TV doesn’t even come close. We have 70's and 80' radio, let me know when we get TV playing the same.

I dunno who it was who wrote this material .. but it deserves a Logie !! These comic lines are FABULOUS !! There's some classic scripted lines here .. now, all of you take note .. if you leave this comic material lie dormant, long enough .. people will forget the stuff, you see .. & then you'll be able to use some of these memorable lines for yourselves .. if ever you're called upon to MC a send-off or a roast for someone important ...

Those were the days of great entertainment, I mean who comes close to the brilliance of Paul Hogan now? I grew up watching The Don Lane Show, even went in a couple of times to be part of the studio audience. One night a mate of mine appeared on a segment called 'Newton's Nuts' and his act was a send up of Don. Don was very gracious and saw the funny side of it. We lost not only a great entertainer but a great bloke when we lost Don Lane.

One of the greatest influences on Australian television. It was a privlege to be a part of the generation that got to enjoy him. RIP Don - Australia is in your debt & you will be sorely missed.
