@PixelSham Make sure to run the launcher and not the minecraft.exe thing. Also make sure there are no spaces in any folders leading to the minecraft.exe. For instance, if i had "folder name" it will not work. Change it to something like "folder_name" and see if it works.

@BMXR111 Well the launcher is surposed to close isntantly, but Minecraft should start afterwards. You should check the code you have made, specificaly the file extensions and the file names.
REMEMBER: No spaces can be used on the folder path. If there is remove the spaces both from the code and the path!
