What an awesome song, so beautiful.

I first heard him on KPIG (Watsonville, California) about 18 years ago. Fell in love with him then.
RIP, Stephen.

saw Stephen in Dublin in 1970 with Kris Kristofferson on the 'Border Lord' tour, great sound & playing.rip

Some great songwriters like Dylan, Kristofferson, and Stephen couldn't carry a tune across a shallow creek vocally. But, my goodness, they surely knew how to rip at the soul with their lyrics. This is a beautiful piece of music.

I Miss You GFS... Tears still come whenever I hear your voice, or when all the years of memories visit me. There will never be a time that I will NOT be ETERNALLY GRATEFUL for you being in my life.
Your Loving Goddaughter,
Molls

Wow, this song is deep............. I have heard it about 20 times in the past half hour and it continues to hit right at the heart, if your feelings are equal to what he wrote. I have never heard of Stephen Bruton until today and I can not belive I have missed out on his words. Something so real and true with no extras of anything other than his tunes and Voice. Your Soul Lives on with your music.....
