Happy Birthday Spider-Man!

A good tool for spidey when in a happy birthday situation.

Now that Exchanges only hit the assist and doesn't exchange both characters, Spidey needs to be able to convert a happy birthday situation into good damage. Since he obviously can't combo web ball, web zip, or web throw and catch two characters he needed something.

So in Ultimate, Spider-mans web swing causes untechable soft knockdown. So combo into that, and from there just DHC into another character for Happy Birthday damage.

Another thing I noticed was that in vanilla when spiderman started his Maximum Spider then DHC'd before it hit, it used to cause the spin animation. Now the character just stays in the untechable falling state similar to what Zero's level 3 buster does.

ahhhhh i was expecting something like you found a glitch that maximum spider gets two people. well anyway about your team, how do you make spiderman safe without a beam assist? I think you cant have spidey without a beam assist

@TheUnlimitedGenius Everything spiderman does is safe now. There's no need to cover him with a beam assist. Beam scales too much now anyway. Iron fist assist for set ups and wesker assist for unblockables are more than enough. I'll put some match videos up soon.

I'm sure you've realized this by now but you can just do a double web swing combo into a mashed crawler assault then DHC from there if that hasn't killed them already.

Can't you just combo into crawler assault instead of wasting the bar on a whiffed maximum spider?
