I don't feed him slugs, they just don't seem to digest properly. This was the embryo that didn't develop inside of an egg. I like having the monitors and tegus around for cleaning up. They had a feast on Easter!!!

Wasn't that embryo a tad too big for the monitor?

@joeprestara It was definitely big enough to make him work a little but definitely not too big for him. If it was too much for him he would have started clawing at it with his front claws, ripping it apart to help get it down. He eats jumbo rats with ease.
