This was a "Golden Lap." I hit every mark, stepped the back end out when I wanted, stuck it when I didn't, and kept the car on line over the big bumps. Up until this run my best was a 44.1 and the next fastest competitor had a 44.3. This run was a 42.6. I was floored. I knew a 43 second run was possible, but to rip off a 42 on the last run of the day was amazing. I took home the hat-trick: First in Class, First Overall, and Fastest Time of the Day.
This was a great event. Lots of really good people there helping each other out (myself included with an iffy alternator in the tow vehicle.) I can't wait for the 2-day Divisional in August.
