A Walpole Island resident captured this footage of some strange lights he saw just over a tree line on Walpole Island First Nations, looking south-east towards Chatham-Kent. He shot the footage at around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011. We're looking for an explanation here at 99.1 CKXS FM in Wallaceburg, and are looking for people's input. Listen to CKXS Morning News Host Aaron Hall, and some input from Geoff Coulson, of Environment Canada, for possible explanations of the strange lights.
I had taken some strange pictures, I believe in the summer of 2006 on Walpole Island when I sent them away. I was told it was a moon anomaly. To me it was strange, when I took the photos I wasn't using a flash and I wasn't moving. In fact all I wanted to do was take a picture of the moon because it was full that night. When I up loaded the pictures to my computer the images were very strange and that's why I decided to send them away to be analyzed.

What the guy should have done, is take a video in daylight, compare the view and zoom he had at night. That way you can rule out city lights. Since you don't see anything else but lights, the camera removes the surroundings and makes the light sources look much brighter than they probably were. They said it was a cold clear night. So most likely a few city lights were visible. the bottom row of lights is very linear...not much you can guess here. No UFOs to me that's for sure.

looks like an airplane spotlight coming from a long distance towards you. it's cold and clear as to why it appears to bounce.

@syeshasucks i live on walpole and believe me that noone on the island would have the patience to do this. and i dont think anyone on Walpole is gonna go out and buy a weather balloon and attach led lights on it. RC planes and helicopters dont have that much range and height to them unless its one of those government prototypes but i doubt that.
