He's always looked the way he does in this clip, nothing's changed. Pity back then they couldn't get the microphones right. Did him an injustice. Very rare footage. Love it.

Little Richard's eyes glaze over, he smiles like he's in nirvana, and stares at the audience. Yeah, drugs, but there’s something else. He's stunned at the mostly white middle class audience roaring their appreciation. Europe was relatively free of racism compared to the U.S. in the 50’s and 60’s, and that's why James Baldwin, Miles Davis and other blacks said were attracted to it and went to live there.
