If Brady, Manning, and Rogers played in the era of Montana and Marino, they would be "good" QBs. You can't destroy recievers in their routes anymore or torment the QB. Made it much more difficult to get into a rhythm and QB's and WR were prone to get shellshocked.. Today's QB's have the virtue of being in a league where the rules favor the Offensive players. It's just not the same.

Growing up in San Francisco and seeing Joe "Cool" Montana winning 4 Superbowls in the 80's shows the world that he is the best quarterback of all time!

But he didn't play after the "Ty Law rule" or the "tuck rule" or the "defenseless receiver" rule or the "Tom Brady rule" or the "helmet-to-helmet rule". ALL drive-extending rules that have turned the NFL into Arena Ball/flag football since the beginning of the 21st century. Notice the insanely-huge increase in the number of 4,000-yard passing seasons since 2000? It's not because the QBs are suddenly that much better either...

Joe played after the Mel Blount rule so your argument is invalid.

Ehh, I don't know about that. Put either of those three guys on those 49er teams, and they'd win a lot of games and super bowls. Manning is good enough to make everyone around him that much better, we've seen what Brady can do when given a hall of fame receiver, and Rodgers is one of the most accurate QB's in NFL history and is THE greatest at throwing on the run, so his ability to extend plays would help those receivers a lot as well.
