Austin mini with an mg metro engine doing the quarter mile around 75bhp@ flywheel car was in full road trim. If I lost the drivers and rear seats, stereo system and spare wheel and improved reaction times I reckon you could easily knock another second off. Was happy for a first effort

  • These were my times from the day, not exactly quick but good practice :D

    ET 18.2050@71.7700mph

    ET 18.0237@72.4600mph

    ET 18.4139@70.8500mph

  • @chrissssr

i wasn't gonna run it next year but may still take it, If I do i'm gonna lose some more weight from the car and fit some track tyres to the front, I had major issues getting traction off the line! Need to practice my starts too!

  • From the bloke in the Beetle, thanks for the race, it was close, maybe see you next year.

  • @raymondhambly haha no worries mate, if I get the new un finished i'll be there (and racing) :D

  • you did pretty well against that bini! is it standard apart from the metro engine? and what was your best time of the day? i'm restoring a mk2 with a 1275 metro engine/carbs and i'm hoping it'll perform as well as yours :p
