written by the late Don Gibson when he was at a Knoxville radio station he started to form this song.Wesley Rot and finally got a recontract for Don.it charted at by that time he thought was over but Patsy recorded it on her l;ast session before her death. Reba McEntire used to close her shows with this song tell her band was killed. still loved by a lot of people
