  • @717021 LOL!

Hell, why let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Nice try though...loved the bidet part--nice touch.

  • @CA5EY11 Wrong! He wrote this song after a long night of spicy mexican food and bad beer. The fire was a metaphor for the explosive diarrhea that burned his anus and the "Rain" was from the european bidet that cooled him down afterwards. Get your facts straight.

  • Wrong. "Flying Machine" was James Taylor's band. It does not refer to a plane crash. "Fire & Rain refer to shock treatments he received while in a mental institution. The fire in the song refers to his shock therapy. Rain is the cold showers that follow shock therapy. Suzanne is Suzanne Schnerr, a friend who committed suicide while JT was away recording his 1st album. His battle w/drug addiction also contributed to the theme of the song.

  • it is crap try a jay

  • start with James Taylor ,

    and work outwards.

I cannot abide ignorance when it derives from being too lazy to look.

  • @eezztarget I believe she was killed in a plane crash, not suicide. They were good friends, and his producers decided to fly her to California as a surprise to James. ("Suzanne the plans they made put an end to you.") Plane crashed along the way, hence "sweet dreams and flying machines, and pieces on the ground."

  • So much misinformation... C'mon, Google is at your fingertips! James Taylor wrote the song, NOT Carole King: the first part ("Just yesterday morning..." etc etc) is about Suzanne Schnerr, a friend of his who had committed suicide; the second part ("Won't you look down upon me Jesus..." etc etc) is about his drug addiction, and the last part ("Been walking my mind to an easy time"... etc etc) is about his own views (and fears) on his career. Anyway... nice guitar work ;)

  • hmm al i hear is fire and rain by james taylor and some random dude making shit up as it plays.

  • the beatles???

  • the beatles didn't write this....
