  • Some trivia: TRDU is the first entirely digitally-processed film. The first-generation master was in what we know today as 2K resolution, slightly higher than 1080p. This is obviously coming from a second or third-generation master because of the flim-like look (and the pan-and-scanning). If the film ever goes on Blu-ray from the first-generation tape, which might be destroyed, prepare for some astonishing results.

  • @RkivUnderground And what's worse is that this is the print used for television airings on the Disney Channel for almost 18 years ago, and also on Toon Disney (Now Disney XD).

  • @RkivUnderground But the DVD seems to be "restored" cause its in wide screen unlike the Laserdisc release, which was the only LD release in the USA. The Rescuers was released twice on LD, in 1992 and in 1999. The later release was in widescreen but there were two of them. The first 1 was a "uncensored" version and the second pressings were "corrected and remastered."

  • @avickers1992 Uncensored?

  • @DorianLongstreet Yes I'm referring to a naked lady that can be seen for a few frames during The Rescuers' flight in the first film.

  • Can someone please upload another laserdisc opening Walt Disney Classics logo from 1992? Thanks!

  • @TheRoadRunnerCoyote Well, I never found one due to most of them having the WDHV 1986 logo.

  • The opening logos are so nostalgic. This still remains one of the best openings in movie history.
