BBQ Beatdown 7 - Lindsey Whiffer (AUS) vs. Steve Wise (ENG) - MMA in Thailand

Competing is an important part of progression. Tiger Muay Thai hosts monthly smoker fights allowing individuals the opportunity to compete in MMA fights at a beginner level.

These fights are held every full moon and feature a camp BBQ. Fighters wore shin pads and 8oz "shooto style" gloves. No knees to the head when the opponent is standing or on the ground.

Knees are permitted only to the body from the standing position. No upkicks, or down kicks from both combatants when a fighter is on his back. And no leg submissions.

yeah, the "ground fighter" couldn't really fight standing up at all

I keep coming back and watching this, really good fight from both guys, the winner was the more experienced ground fighter but both fighters went the distance. And besides, top blokes to hang out with and friends after the fight :)
