Repairing a Countertop - Andy Bell of Handyman Matters takes us through the process of repairing a countertop and setting a sink. First thing about the sink is to remove everything it is connected to and pop out the latches holding the sink down and you can get it out very easily. Repairing a countertop is easy and you can put the cement board right over the existing countertop with no problems. Set the tile with the 1/8" spacers and grout. Make sure and protect the grout with a sealant to ensure no food particles will get stuck in there.
