The awkward gap in between the intro and the actual video is because YouTube made me edit it to make it less than 15 minutes long, all you missed was a single crochet tutorial which I have covered before

the abbreviations for the stitches in this video are
single crochet - sc
front loop single crochet - FLsc
back loop single crochet - BLsc

  • Threadbanger sent me here, you look like a very savvy crocheter

  • @shaptastic25 Thanks! I have been doing it for some time now! Thanks to Threadbanger I can spread my love for crochet!

  • what kind of yarn are you using?

  • @polypat51 Hey! I use cotton worsted weight yarn, love the texture of the stitch I get with cotton.

  • Hi there hillarion! I put the hook into one strand, not the back bump, I think I cover that in tutorial one, if not whoops!! lol anywho, yes 43 is the number you need to chain to get a foundation chain of 42 :D

  • Thanks for this pattern--I love the look of it, and it looks manageable for someone new to crochet like me. I have a very "newbie" question . . . I can't see from the video: in your first row of single crochet (into the foundation chain), where exactly are you putting your hook--under just one strand, or under the back "bump", as well? Also, in order to get 42 single crochets, I need to chain 43--is that correct? Thanks so much.

  • Thanks for sharing this pattern! i love it!

  • I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pattern!!! I can NOT wait to get started!!!! The finished design looks AMAZING!!!
