Botolan (August 8, 2009)

My parents went to Iba for some errands and decided to pass by Botolan to check on the situation after the storm yesterday. It's not raining anymore, but the waters haven't really gone down. Most of the roads are still not passable.

At the end of the video, Mama talks to one of the barangay tanonds, asking how far the water covered the highway and if there were any reports of deaths. No reports about that yet.

This was taken a few days after the strong rains, so the water has receded somewhat. Yung talagang lubog na lugar, hindi na accessible ng road daw. If you see dun sa gilid, ng daan, medyo malalim pa ang water.
