E' assolutamente magico, e unico, il modo in cui McAloon riesce a scrivere i suoi brani. "Dublin" è toccante e l'intero "Protest songs" è da annoverare tra i dischi più belli degli anni ottanta. Fa simpaticamente arrabbiare la facilità di McAloon nel mettere accordi dopo accordi facendo sembrare tutto così naturale e semplice. Che cantautore superbo!

Paddy has a lovely unique tone to his voice, as well as being a great song writer, very gifted. I could listen to him all day.

Protest Songs is a great album, much better than Langley Park, but unfortunately much harder to find - on vinyl I mean...
