How to hold a live bee in your fingers

Honey bees have decided to build a hive in our tree. So watch them as I hold the camera lens a couple inches away and even pick up a few bees for close-ups

could you do this with bumble bees?

I've been picking up bees and wasps since I was in grade school. Even bumble bees. But bumble bees don't swarm like honey bees. You would never see them like this.

Fear causes people to act erratic. Animals and insects can sense this and the way many people show fear anything or anybody can SEE it.

I also harvest wasp nests to feed the larva to my baby peacock. I have a stick with two prongs that breaks the nest loose. After it it is broken loose I stand there unmoving. The wasps fly around me and even land on me but they don;t recognize me as a threat because I don't move so they lose interest and I walk away with the nest.

i used to catch bees then i got 3 in my hands at once and they all stung me!
