Firstly-firstly....please do pardon me in this video. I am a wee bit low on sleep, and it shows, especially with the stumbling over my words and crap. So yeeeeahhh. =P
Okie dok. Now on to the goodies!
Basically, in this video, I share some ways that you can remove pesticides from your non-organic produce. I highly, HIGHLY recommend paying the extra dollars for organic food because it is SO WORTH IT! Organic food tends to be grown with love and care in soil that is not so depleted of nutrients and minerals. Furthermore, I strongly feel that it is the wiser choice to pay a little extra money for high-quality food rather than paying thousands of dollars in medical bills later on, due to health problems stemming from not taking care of ourselves and ingesting tons of toxic chemicals over the course of our lives. But, in the case that it just isn't feasible to be eating organic food/produce right now, there are some steps that you can take to reduce/eliminate your intake/exposure to pesticides and such.
There are now many fruit and vegetable washes on the market that help remove pesticides. I just recently got one for around $3.00 at Trader Joe's. If you can't find a wash in stores, or don't want to spend the money on one, rest assured. ;) You can easily dig around in your kitchen and take advantage of everyday items. Here are some easy solutions you can make that will aid in removing pesticides:
-Add 3 tablespoons of dish wash detergent to a bowl of water. Immerse the produce in it, rinse thoroughly, and EAT, baby!! :D
-Dissolve 1 tablespoon of sea salt in in 1 cup of water, soak 5-10 min and rinse
-Sprinkle baking soda on the rinsed, damp surface of your produce, rub, rinse
Add 1 cup of white wine vinegar to 1.5 cups water in a pan, add in 1 tablespoon of baking soda, little by little, add approx. 20 drops of grapefruit seed extract, shake gently, and spray the mixture on the produce. Let it sit about 10 min and then rinse.
-Mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice with 2 tablespoons of baking soda dissolved in water, spray on your produce, let it soak, then rinse.
Experiment and have fun...take joy and pride in the fact that you're doing this one little act of love for your body. I really do believe that we are all beautiful, vibrant spiritual Be-ings, having a human experience, in this illusory dream, known as Life. Our bodies are our vehicles, and, I feel, are so worthy of our respect, attention, and utmost care and love. They do so much for us.
I think it's incredible how strong, resilient, and self-healing our bodies are. Truly, they are filled with a Divine, incredible inner wisdom that surpasses the most brilliant thing invented. Our bodies can take a lot, but eventually, poor choices will have their consequences. I know that for me, personally, I haven't made good choices in my past. I've subjected my body to so much negativity, poor habits, junk, and just plain old CRAP! But I have this Now, and in this Now, I am making the perfect decisions to nourish, love, and heal my body. And I encourage you to do the same. Just because our bodies can take a lot doesn't mean we should continue to abuse, destroy, and poison them
My goal is to reverse my pattern of careless disregard for my body and the myriad of stupid/crappy/unhealthy choices that I've made. My goal is to clean and purify my body, clearing myself to be a greater, clearer channel for Love, Divinity, Life Force Energy and my psychic abilities--which we ALL have. They are a natural, Spirit-given ability that we are born with, but usually seem to loose or shut off as we get older, due to programming.
So yeah. Just some thoughts. Hope this video helps!!
Much Love, Friends.
@ylfriends i soak my leafy and delicate greens in water that has a few drops of the vegetable wash and then rinse them. it works fine. they don't get soggy.

@doyle2001 yes, you are so right! ive only recently become more thoroughly enlightened about the horrific soil that non-organic plants are grown in. right now, i buy basically all organic, simply because i know they were grown in better soil. thank you for the insight that you shared--most definitely welcome here! this video may help people who just cant buy organic to do what they can to reduce pesticide exposure. still, theres no substitute for organic!
