This method makes the manual method cost effective and more accurate. We re-use the NFC tags. We write them security to avoid mistakes. We keep the costs down so the money can go to the community or the cause, instead of the race timing company.

practical for a big race of over 1000 people? Looks like the results would take a long time to compile with having to scan bibs too.
