How to sell your ideas and inventions for cash part 6 of 7
Are you market ready?
Hi. This is Mike Rounds and welcome to part six of how to sell your ideas and inventions for cash called Are you market ready?
Even though your invention works perfectly, it may not be ready to take to the market or to offer it for sale to somebody else.
When we started offering this program, we had the opportunity to interview many of the directors of new product development for major firms and organizations that actually licensed the rights to inventions from independent matters.
When we asked them why many companies don't want to deal with independent inventors the answers we received was somewhat surprising.
It turns out that the primary reasons for companies not wanting to look at outside inventions is that most independent inventors don't bother to learn the rules, regulations, guidelines, safety factors, and other relevant performance criteria factors that each industry requires before a product can be offered to the public.
This means that even though the product works, it doesn't work per current industry guidelines and standards.
When we finished analyzing all of the inputs that we were given, it turns out that there are 14 significant areas of concern that every independent inventor must review and evaluate before you offer your invention percent.
If you don't, you are automatically building in a reason for a potential buyer to say no to your product even before they review it because whether they like it or not, if it doesn't meet current standards, as imposed by their industry, or outside organizations, these inequities will prevent it from being marketable.
Examples include design and operational considerations like current safety standards and compliance standards such as Underwriters Laboratories or the FDA that must be understood, and adhered to before you can take a product to the public.
For example, safety standards are of major concern in today's litigious marketplace because they can not only prevent sales of products but also incur multimillion dollar lawsuits and obviously, conscientious manufacturers won't be interested in a product that presents them with the potential bankrupting lawsuit.
The rules, regulations, and guidelines for compliance with these standards are readily available through a variety of resources and most of them are free and many of them are available online for download, reading, printing and study.
Conversely, many of them are simply common sense guidelines and reviews that you'll need to look at and see what applies to you before you release your product for sale.
If you're seriously interested in making money with your creative ideas and don't want to spend a lot of time, money or get ripped off in the process, we've got the answer for you.
We've been delivering this copyrighted program, for the past 25 years, to live audiences at over 500 locations throughout the United States including the Harvard School of Business, the University of California, The World famous Invention Convention, Rochester University, and the Los Angeles Public Library.
Now, this same program is available as a complete package including all of the workbooks, audio lectures, videos seminars, and legal support forms for less than $100.
