Other President's & administrations have tried to get health care reforms passed, but always the partisanship & propaganda misled the American people and they blew their chance.

Obama is closer than any other President, in spite of the fact that the GOP & insurance companies have consistently used the same "socialist" labels to mislead the sheep.

I look at myself as a conservative rather than looking at my party, because there is a significant number of moderate republicans. It's not the same with the democrats there are not many moderates there.

Now as for this bill: I am let down by our government for failing to hear the american people and giving into birbery. Shame on them. You are supposed to get the American people on your side first, not rush it through and work on that later. I'm not interested in losing 20% of the economy.

All I can say is Obama has managed to make our country weak and more vulnerable to our enemies. How come all the plots and terrorist acts have quadrupled since he has been in office. The only people that want this bill are the ones not educating themselves on what it is about. I'm changing from democrat to independent because the democratic party has turned into the communist party. By the way I didn't vote for Obama cause I paid attention to his communist ideas when he was campaining.

The health care bill isn't communist. I believe it's crap. But it's ideologically the opposite of communism. They are making people get health insurance from companies, and forcing companies to give health insurance. So it's all run by government mandates to business, forcing people to give money to private industry.

You need to know what the definitions of words are before using them. You can't just listen to the uneducated rantings of a TV personality and think that they are correct

Not to mention improving Americas image abroad, as evidenced by Obama's popularity abroad, the Nobel Peace Prize, and regular news reports commending Obama on taking a less confrontational and more diplomatic approach to foreign policy.

Movement towards national automotive mileage standards & money for green energy research & development, as opposed to Bush who decimated money for alternative energy research.

Obama also signed the State Children's Health Insurance Program, or SCHIP, ending a decade long odessy in which the GOP and Bush opposed on the grounds that it would lead to socialized health care and which extended health care benefits to millions of children.

He is also addressing, much of it through stimulus money, the problem of decaying infrastructure that the Bush administration ignored;

Repealing the massive Bush tax cuts to the rich and transferring those tax cut to the middle class.
