The USCGC BUTTONWOOD WAGL/WLB-306 was one of thirty-nine 180-foot buoy tenders built and commissioned into the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. Over almost sixty years of service the 180s proved to be one of the best multi-mission platforms ever developed for the Coast Guard.
