Apart from the brilliant voices: Their acting is amazing!!! The finale is so thrilling that every time I watch it, I'm excited about what will happen next; it's always as though I've never seen the opera, never read the novel, never knew the story.
And Mme Antonacci crushed my idea of Carmen being a mezzo-soprano, since London, my ideal Carmen is a soprano

Yes, the finale is good!
But Kaufman gives in to Alagna very much.
I think that Alagna has the rare, crystal voice and all his lyric heroes are the best.
"Carmen" in MET 2009-10 is extremely significant.

Incroyable!! Enfin un final de Carmen qui n'est ni hurlé ni massacré et scéniquement ils assurent d'autant que ce qu'ils ont a chanté est loin d'etre facile et que leurs roles sont loin d'etre léger...BRAVO!!

y tanta entrega de muy alto nivel, tanto
vocal como actoralmente. ¡¡¡BRAVISSIMI!!

Enfin une étrangère qui prononce le français de manière remarquable: mille bravo(s) pour cette performance qui ne doit rien à la facilité. Kauffman, toujours enthousiasmant, n'est pas loin d'avoir la couleur d'un baryton désormais: certains s'en désolent, moi je trouve ça intéressant et inédit.

c'est la Scala, d'accoed. Je pense qu'elles chantent bien toutes les deux, chacune à sa manière..... et puis on peut toujours avancer et devenir plus habiles, cela vaut pour tous les artistes en général. C ce que je pense; chacun a ses gouts et ses opinions.
