It's an awesome wave yeah. Mind Blowing for 2000. The thing is that now guys are paddling into waves like this. Look at the recent monster swell at CloudBreak. Hell, watch CJ Hobgood's paddle in Teahupoo bomb from "Campaign 2" from 2005.

agree! its not the size that matters...its the speed, volume and total power of this wave that is amaising....not to mention what happens if you get smashed onto this reef and pushed into one off the many crevices and drown. laird has balls of steel as well as the skill to pull that wave off (as not many others have).
