The laser data is somtimes somewhat out of alignment with the video due to the difference in frame rate (mostly) and also due to uncompensated oscillations in the height of the vehical. This is just a rough demo I made while exploring uses for the laser data, im thinking of combining it with an image edge detector then picking out the outlines of objects that are separate from the environment which are indicated by the distance data.
