A yellowfish on fly trip to the tidal river (Orange River) just below the Gariep damwall with Ivan and Pierre De Villiers. One minute you stand waist deep in the water and the next a wall of water rushes down as the sluices are opened for the Escom power plants at the wall. Indeed a dangerous place if you dont go with someone like Ivan that knows the rythm or should I say try to understand the schedule as they never kept to the schedule during our outing.
