"Beyond comprehension" That was a great line had me laughing. Great video, I liked how you shot outside and inside to show the difference. Oh and cute baby. The sound quality seems decent on it. People were saying its bad but it seemed fine here.

haha thanks man. Yeah the sound is actually VERY good straight from the camera, the thing most people dont like is that it doesn't record stereo... no big deal, it still sounds very good. also, windows movie maker added some strange noise to the audio in this vid... idk why or how lol

Yeah sure it depends on what resolution you record at... at 1280x720 (720pHD) you can only record 5 minutes at a time. No big deal, since you can start recording immediately after you run out of time. Also, at 640x440 you can record 20 minutes at a time.

idk... maybe if you record like the lowest quality possibly... i use a 4 gig SDHC card

Probably the one thing that is a little frustrating to me right now is the fact that you have to manual focus while shooting video... no big deal, it's just i've never really had to do too much with manual focus, so it will take some practice and getting used to. All in all it's a great camera, and definantly worth the price tag.

Which lens are you using? and How did you acheive that wonderful depth of field look with the flower in focus and the green leaves out of focus? Please tell me step by step.

It comes with the territory of being able to swap out lenses. Even with today's high tech cameras, Hollywood(I use that term loosely) still uses manual focus when filming. Redrock and Zacuto has gear that makes focusing 100x easier with the D90 but it will cost you more then the camera. A bit overkill for a 2 year old but its your kid.

I have a 2 year old son so a lot 's of filming happens house,its good to see the light quality of it is better than the camcorder I am using right now. Anyway, I was wondering why they would make such a good camera and have it as manual focus, this is one thing that turns me off it since I'm going from a point and shoot camera. Do you still recommend it? Even to beginners?

Also, the 5 minute thing. You say you can start recording right away once your five minutes is up. Is that right??
