Death of Ben Goodall

Scenes from May 31st 2010 and June 8th 2010. Farewell Ben Goodall, great character but this was the only way it could have gone with out writing out Yvonne who has been on Shorty for nearly 6 years.
Ben was first introduced to the street in July 2009 when he and Yvonne Jeffries were held up in a bank by drug fueled criminals. After the ordeal, Yvonne acted matchmaker and set up Ben and her daughter Tania. They dated for a few months until Ben admitted his love for the much older Yvonne. The two started dating even with Tanias huge opposition. Ben was the streets local handyman and all round nice guy. The episode of Bens life support getting turned off was the highest watch episode of Shortland Street so far in 2010.
This scene is similar to the 1995 episode where a truck drove into the hospital hitting Carmen and Kirsty. Kirstys condition seemed very serious and it was thought she was going to die while Carmen just complained of a headache. In the end Carmen died of a brain tumor and Kirsty only suffered memory loss.

man, i remember this. sad that hunter got stabbed with a screwdriver, somethin' bout his lung, and didnt die. yet a punch to the head killed ben? poor ivon (or however you spell her name, im too lazy to check.). so brave, and she kept thinking that he was gonna wake up, it didnt matter what they said, she still believed in him. and at 2:30, was he haing a seizure?
