A beautiful magical place that should be viewd alone unfortunatly tourisim has desecrated the very thing that appeals to the spirit.

I was there on Aug 12-13th 2011 and was out on the main highway with my son at 2-3 am watching the stars..Never gave any thought to crime..Several trucks and cars passed by but no one stopped or hassled us. If you respect the beautiful gift we were given, I think good karma will follow.

It was a very sacred place before people like you came around and descrated our lands. Dont act like just because you are a tourist you are doing nothing wrong and whats with the gaming talk. Get a life Belligana!

Did something wrong happened with you? Crime is high there>

Very nice camera work - the moonrise, sunrise, and especially the aerial shots. Just great!

Monument Valley has sure changed a lot since I was there in 1990-1991! Crime can be anywhere but you're never alone when God is with you!!!!

Crime in Monument Valley!? I never saw it when I lived there! Heard a mountain lion cry one night but that's as close to crime as you can get....

I don't follow this crime thing...I've been to monument valley hundreds of times. On a scale of violent crime 1-10, it's about a 2.
Maybe it's just because I lived in Utah for 20 years, but compared to the rest of the United States, crime is ridiculously low, and it's ridiculously low in MV compared to the rest of the state.
"flood did it"
I think you will find it was the Tarkalian Hyperwarriors, when they converted the Earth into a primary power relay for their intergalactic doomsday weapon. Thank the heavens the Jibutrians stopped them and won the transpatial mega war.
