The basic arsenal of ball control. Trap, Pass, Dead Flipper, Drop Stop, Flip Trap (Stall), and why I don't like machines without a centre post.

  • Who plays the pinball in this video?

  • @YYYValentine I do. I filmed myself playing, with a little tripod shooting upside down on the glass.

  • When should you use a stall vs a drop stop?

  • @gentleuterus The stall (flip trap) stops the ball, and therefore gives you way more control--you can turn it into a regular trap. A drop stop is an easier way to take speed off the ball, but has less control. Also think about what will happen if you don't get the timing right -- a failed stall will bounce the ball back up, a failed drop stop will act more like a dead flipper pass. Either could lead to a drain depending on the layout and circumstance.

  • what about death save? you can't do that with a center/save pin.

  • Other Question: What is teh music? Bdw I am pinball player too, I just practice these techniques. I can do all of them, but I don't earn enough hiscore yet.

  • @SaikoTaiko same here. Know them all well.

  • @Lyubefan I never got that damn move down... Mostly cause the pins we have have that metal rails under the flippers, but on say, Big Buck Hunter Pro.... I've never gotten that move to work successfully....

  • What is this song? :o

  • Pshh, learned all these moves when I was a kid.

Except for that "nerves of steel" since none of the pinball machines I played had the center pin.
